Founded in 1989, MiTAC uphold the mission to provide high quality, high value-added information technology products to our OEM/ODM customers. According to the survey compiled by Commonwealth Magazine in 2004, MiTAC ranked 55th in Taiwan’s 1000 biggest manufacturing companies (ranked 59th in 2003), and ranked 8th biggest among computer system manufacturing companies (ranked 9th in 2003). The advancement of our ranking further affirms our endeavor and achievements in the notebook computer manufacturing industry.

In recent years, MiTAC moves aggressively towards providing total digital home solution to our customers while notebook computers, rugged notebook, and car PC manufacturing still remained as our main business focus. Portable music player like Mp3 have been developed and mass-produced in 2004, and wireless products have also made its debut in 2005. Despite product diversification, MiTAC continues its devotion to technology innovation, 3% of annual sales revenue is allocated for R&D expenses each year to satisfy customers needs for higher quality, technology, and valued-added products.

MiTAC Technology Corporation has now over 4000 employees around the world engaging in business operation, product development, R&D, and manufacturing. Among those, 750 employees are R&D professionals. Based on the statistics provided by Intellectual Property Office of R.O.C. in 2004, MiTAC Technology Corporation ranked 35th largest for the number of patent applied, and ranked 15th largest for the number of patent granted. In addition, MiTAC also construct the most integrated E platform to ensure that rapid, and accurate service is delivered to the customers. This E platform internally enhance the communication between business operation and manufacturing sites, and externally assist MiTAC to control the demand and supply status of our suppliers’ materials, and thereby speed up the product delivery. In future, we will continue to dedicate in developing product technology innovation, and manufacturing products complying with RoHS regulations, and providing the most competitive products and services to our customers.
